Congratulations on receiving your PAL (Pre-Arrival Letter)! Let’s break this down step by step to address your queries:
1. Importance of PAL (Pre-Arrival Letter)
• The Pre-Arrival Letter (PAL) is a good sign! It means IRCC has completed the initial eligibility assessment of your PR application and considers you likely to be approved for permanent residency (subject to final checks).
• PAL is issued to invite you to access free services in Canada to help you settle, such as:
• Employment readiness services
• Language assessments
• Information sessions about living in Canada
• While receiving PAL is not a guarantee of PR approval, it indicates that your application is moving smoothly.
2. Pending Documents
(a) ADR (Additional Document Request)
• Since you’ve received an ADR with your AOR and are still processing the required documents, ensure you submit them as soon as possible. Delays in submission could affect the timeline of your application.
• If there are any unavoidable delays, communicate them to IRCC through the Web Form and provide an expected submission timeline.
(b) Medical
• You mentioned that you submitted an upfront medical exam in August and already sent the IME details through the Web Form. IRCC will eventually acknowledge and link your medical to your PR file.
• If your medical is still not updated in your account within 2-3 weeks, consider sending a follow-up through the Web Form, attaching your proof of submission and IME details again.
3. Next Steps
Here’s what you can expect and what you should do next:
(a) Wait for IRCC to Acknowledge the Medical
• IRCC will either:
• Update your profile to reflect the medical as passed.
• Request a new medical if there’s an issue with the upfront one you submitted.
(b) Submit the ADR Promptly
• Once you have the required document, upload it as per IRCC’s instructions. Ensure you:
• Check the document specifications.
• Include a cover letter, if applicable, to explain what you’re submitting.
(c) Monitor for Background Check and Final Decision
• After medicals and ADR are updated, the next steps include:
1. Background Check: IRCC will assess your criminality, security, and other admissibility factors.
2. Final Decision (Approval): You’ll receive a request for passport submission (if outside Canada) or instructions for PR card issuance (if inside Canada).
4. Key Tips
• Timely Communication: Use the Web Form to notify IRCC if there are any delays or updates to your file.
• Track Updates: Regularly log into your online IRCC account to check for updates.
• Keep Proofs Handy: Always retain proof of submission (e.g., ADR documents, medical Web Form submission).
Receiving PAL is a milestone in your PR journey, so you’re on the right track.
Don’t do another medical exam. Submit Emedical sheet again with webform and also call CIC call centre and ask agent to put note on your application. Sometimes it take time to get updated on your medical exam.

If the delay in submitting the ADR is due to waiting for your Police Clearance Certificate (PCC), prioritize resolving this ASAP. Here’s how:
• Steps to Expedite PCC Submission:
• Contact the issuing authority to request expedited processing (if possible).
• If you anticipate further delays, inform IRCC through a webform explaining the reason for the delay and provide a timeline for submission • Once the PCC is ready, upload it through the IRCC portal immediately.
• Avoid Missing Deadlines:
• IRCC usually provides 30 days to respond to ADR. If you’re close to the deadline, definitely send a webform update to avoid having your application delayed or refused for non-compliance.
It’s hard to contact IRCC from outside Canada however you can try using third party software like viber or we chat . Someone else tried it.Yes we got a time for submitting 60 days for ADR and 30 days for Medical
Also i am outside canada and can i call them on which number?
