Need help with my case. I am a PR living in Canada for more than 5 years now. I applied visitor visa for my sister & her family (spouse & 2 minor kids) in 2022 and they were granted the visas but they never travelled to canada. In 2024 Jan, visa of kids expired as they had to renew passports. Now in Aug 2024 i reapplied for kids visas and included below in application

1) Financial documents of Parents
2) Ties to india of parents via property and jobs

The visa was rejected yesterday. I have ordered GCMS notes but wanted to check what additional things can i add in next application to make kids pass eligibility of visitor visa. Of course these are minor kids going to school so cant show their own financials or job certificates.

Getting a TRV in 2022 was ridiculously easy which created some of the mess we are currently dealing with. Hard to say whether whole family should have never been approved for TRVs, whether children faced new increased scrutiny or whether the application didn’t contain enough information. I would also suggest verifying the parents have not had their TRVs cancelled electronically which seems to be happening quite a lot especially given they probably declared their desire to travel in 2022 but then didn’t. All you can do is wait for GCMS notes.

1. How old are kids? How much in funds was shown? Length of visit?
2. School registration and tuition paid.

That is not a lot of funds if that is all the savings. Both parents were approved so for 4 people that is not a lot. Should include the kids, not parents reasons to return.

How much funds are enough for a week? I dont think 20K is not enough. Especially when they dont have to spend on accomoodation. I guess 20K is just enough.

What was purpose of visit for only one week? They were refused for not enough funds so need more for a family of 4. Was that cash in the bank? The issue is not using all their savings so if the parents have investments, pension etc then show that too.

Purpose was to visit us for a week around christmas. Agreed will show more funds. And yes that was all cash in the bank. Over and above 20K cash in bank, i also showed 30K investments in mutual funds.

You say “I” so you are the one coming to Canada and showing the funds, not the person in Canada who is PR. Those funds from PR or citizen are not relevant, only family coming to Canada.

Boss that is just figure of speech. I had parents of kids only show proof of funds and not my funds.

I just got the result of GCMS notes yesterday. It says

"No proof provided to establish relationship and status of parents.
The purpose of applicants visit to canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details provided in the application. Weighing the factors in this application, I am not satisfied that the applicant will depart canada at the end of the period authorized for their stay"

Can anyone confirm what can i do fix these?

Hello, I am looking for advice. I have my mother who applied for a visitor's visa in March 2023 and December 2023. These applications were refused for financial reasons and inconsistent purpose. In July last year, she got a very good job that pays very well. I was hoping she would reapply for a visa as her latest reasons for refusal have changed considerably. In our family of 5, she's the only one who hasn't got the visa yet. My siblings and I have been to Canada and have always returned. The problems we're currently experiencing are linked to the fact that my mother's brother has been living in Canada since September 2024 with his family, and has applied for asylum. As we were going to submit a letter explaining how her situation has changed since the last application, I wanted to know if we should talk about his brother's case and try to convince them that what he has done will not affect him as her husband and children have travelled last year and returned. They haved separatly for 30 years + the brother was in the US before going to Canada. Let me know what you think and whether it's worth applying now. our last trip was in September 2024 btw

Good morning, I am looking for some advice. I have my mom who applied for a visitor visa in March 2023 and December 2023. They were denied because of financial and inconsistent purpose. In July of last year, she got a really good job that pays her really well. I was hoping to have her reapply for a visa given her final reasons has considerably changed. In our family of 5, she is the only one who has not gotten it yet. My siblings and I have been to Canada and we always came back. Issues that we have now are the fact that one of my mom’s brother is living in Canada since September of 2024 with his family and has applied for asylum. Because we were going to submit a letter explaining how her situation has changed since the last application, I wanted to know if we should talk about her brother’s case and try to convince them how what he did is not going to affect her given her husband and children travelled last year and came back. Let me know what you think and if it’s worth applying now. Mind you, our most recent travel was in September 2024.
If her brother claimed asylum that that is even more red flags for IRCC that she will do the same. Having a job for just over 6 months doesn’t change much. What were reasons for refusal? She may want to wait at least a year.

Reasons: Financial was not sufficient + Inconsistent purpose. I mean her husband + me and my siblings have a visa and we have been traveling back in forth. I thought that would help. The brother and her have been living separately for 30 years. In addition to that, my mom have 7 siblings and 6 of them are living in our home country
