Hi @Miss bee

I’m filing out my additional docs requested - IMM 5406. In the pdf, I’m unable to type my name in native language. How does it work for pdfs? It was straightforward for the online form during the original application process.

Should I write the names in the form by hand?

You don’t need to submit stamp pages only bio page. If you forgot to attach copy of work permit, send it through webform now .

Yes you can fill form by Laptop , print it , hand sign it and write your name and then send it or upload it to your PR portal.

Hi @Miss bee , I’m currently preparing to apply at “Foreign Worker Stream”. But I’ve already been working in the company for more than a year and my old job offer doesn’t have some info, like NOC and working location. I’ve read that I will need to ask for a Reference Letter with info about NOC and duties. But I’m working remotely, should I still ask to include “working location” in the reference letter? I’m working from the same province, just remotely from another city. Should the letter always have the specific note about working location? Or simply the office location from the letterhead will be enough? I’m also not going to claim points for location.

You have to include location in reference letter current where are you working from .

Hello everyone,

Is there anyone here whose additional document review has been started on or around 1st August 2024 and have any update regarding their profile?

Mine is still under review of the additional documents which I provided.

how much time do they usually take to review the documents?

Thanks,

Good morning Everyone! @Miss bee could you please help. Today I have received notes from CBSA. Last update in my application was related Security Check in Progress. What should I look into this notes to get information when I can get this check pass? ( I mean what paragraph or etc?) thank you!

Thank you for the reply! In the OINP instruction for Employers on the official website it states that “if an employee is working from multiple locations they should specify a location where they report to work, or main company office”. This is why I’m confused, as it seems I need to specify company main administrative address.

Do you also know if OINP refuses remote positions for “Employer Job Offer” stream?

If you are Main applicant , you only get PAL and you don’t get separate PAL for your spouse. You should submit medical and PCC through webform asap as this will avoid delaying your application. For biometrics, you can call IRCC call centre and ask them to put note on your application about biometric not being sent out.
Thanks a lot. @Miss bee

CBSA notes contain a variety of technical and security-related details. Look out for these key sections:
• Admissibility Assessments (Security Concerns)

• Keywords: “Security Screening,” “Inadmissibility Assessment,” “Eligibility Decision”

• Look for references to sections of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA), particularly:

• IRPA Section 34 – Security reasons (e.g., terrorism, espionage)

• IRPA Section 35 – Human or international rights violations

• IRPA Section 36 – Serious criminality or organized crime

• Screening Results & Notes

• CBSA collaborates with CSIS (Canadian Security Intelligence Service) for detailed security screening. If your file involves additional screening, look for terms like:

• “SIS” – Security Intelligence Screening

• “Held for secondary review”

• “No derogatory information found” or “Pending further clearance”

• Reasons for Delays

• If the security clearance is delayed, the notes may mention:

• “Pending security review”

• “File referred to CBSA Intelligence”

• “Under review by CSIS”

• Officer Remarks
• Officers often write remarks explaining their observations. Look for comments like:

• “Concern about travel history”
• “Associated with known groups”

• “Cleared for entry” or “Further investigation required”

• Status Codes & Abbreviations

• NRT (No Reportable Trace) – No issues found during screening.

• FOSS (Field Operations Support System) – References previous immigration data.
• CBSA Secondary Inspection – Indicates you were referred to a secondary screening upon arrival.

3. How to Interpret Security Flags

• Green Light / Cleared: If the note says “no adverse information,” it indicates you have passed the security screening.

• Pending Review: If phrases like “referred to CSIS” or “further screening required” appear, it means additional investigation is ongoing.

• Security Concerns Flagged: Any mention of IRPA Sections 34–36 may indicate potential issues that require legal consultation.

Yes you should include copy of work permit however if you didn’t attach it , you should send it through webform.
