I don't think there will be any problem because you submitted the file before the certificate expired.

I submitted the birth certificate in English and not in my native language. They wanted the birthcertificte in my native language because on my English certificate there was a small stamp of translated version so they thought that it was not original certificate and returned my file.

Faced the same situation because of my birth certificate. They must have mentioned the reason in the email which they sent you for the return. Unfortunately we have to file it again in non express entry as the file is returned. (Mine also showed everything incomplete when I opened my account)

Yes there is a way to inform them via webform. Unfortunately you have not received the AOR which will have your UCI and Application Number in it. So I think that you should call the IRCC and ask them about next steps. Because it all depends on the agent who is processing your file. They can...
