I received AOR and PCC request for my mom. She’s been in Canada for past 8 months and has super visa and is going to stay for another year.

How do I apply for PCC here in Canada? Can anyone share the process if possible?

I will let you know as I am also finding information for my parents' police certificate in Canada as they have been here in Canada on supervisa for more than 6 months. May I ask.. did you receive Canada specific PCC request? Or just general email about submitting police certificate?

If you search on how to get a police certificate in Canada, this is what you will see--(You don’t need to provide a police certificate when you apply for permanent residence in Canada. We’ll tell you if you need a Canadian criminal record check while your application is being processed.) So, I'm sure otherwise IRCC specifically asks you for a Canadian Police certificate, only then you will contact RCMP for a Criminal record check (Police Clearance Certificate).

It’s a general request asking for police certificate. I am sure this is for India. But wondering if we have to go through BLS to get it when here in Canada?

I just realized I made a typo in my parents pgp application. I had included a letter of explanation saying that the start date of their visit to Canada was August 8 2019. It’s actually August 12. I wrote August 12 correctly on imm008 and also included a cbsa entry stamp showing August 12 2019. I haven’t recieved AOR yet. Should I raise a webform to tell them of the typo in the letter and that the date should actually be August 12 as indicated in form imm 008. Or should I wait for aor before raising the webform?

UAE PCC from dubaipolice.gov.ae is online application with just AED 320/- and you will receive via email in 24 hours ( Emirates ID # will be helpful) . I believe you should get it and if still confused, why stay confused submit for peace of mind.

Thanks for your input. I know its a general rule that people need to submit pcc for any countrt they lived 6 or more months from the age of 18.
However, for my letter it did not ask for this. It asked for current country of residence and any country where they lived most of their adult life, which doesnt suffice to be UAE. Very confused

We tried obtaining online PCC from dubai police and applied with 320 AED.
My dad stayed there long before emirates ID system. He does not have any Emirates ID. He has his old visa stickers. So dubai police cant isssue online PCC without Emirates ID and wont accept visa stickers only. Rather they asked to provide finger prints. In Bangladesh there is no authorized agency (atleast we did not find out) for UAE finger print. UAE embassy in Bangladesh do not seem to have any finger printing service in their facility.

if it was online, I would not have that worry in first place. We decided to explain this with IRCC for their direction. Thanks

You are not required (yet) to provide Canadian PCC or Criminal Record Check unless otherwise specifically asked by IRCC.

Yes you can apply online with your emirates ID from Dubai Police. It should work. They will send you the certificate in email.

What are your inputting when asked about number of people in the application? Most people do this mistake.
If you are sponsoring your mom and dad both then number of people in the application is 2+1 = 3. If you have a co sponsor, it should be 2+2 = 4

Hi my parents came to Canada on supervisa and I just received the PCC request and wonder when my parents will get medical, biometric and passport request, Can they do it from Canada or they have to leave Canada and don't from outside Canada?

I think biometric and medical we can do from Canada for PGP but not sure about passport request.

Any idea from previous applications?
