Abbas Ji - Your sarcasm style is great but this forum is to share info, experience and knowledge without any obligation. So don't feel too pressured to reply.

In this case, I realized that I have seen this status tracker on OCI site as soon as I hit that question. @forw.jane was very kind to reply without being judgemental. Learn something bro!

Hello Everyone,

I have a few questions and would appreciate it if anyone can reply to them.

I'm applying for OCI for Minor.My wife and I are both Indian passport holders on PR. I'm applying from Vancouver and looks like the dates are filled till end of November.

1. I would like to know if Postal for Minors is a good option in Vancouver.
2. Do I need to send all my originals? I'm not comfortable sending originals to some location and be worried about it.
3. If there are any corrections in the form, how is it handled. Do they send the form back and I re-send it?
4. If I do end up sending postal, does my wife have to be here when puralotor arrives. She is planning to go to India with kid soon.
5. Any other info I need to know about Postal applications. Good or Bad.

Thanks for your time and appreciate your help.:)

If you can, consider the premium lounge option (it was available in Toronto, Mississauga locations). Pay 100$ extra, you can get even next day appointments.
They are supposed to fill up the application with this service. But if you want to save time, do all the paperwork yourself use this service to get a quick appointment.

Hello All,
I was born in India, however, my parents were from Pakistan and migrated in India in late 1980s. They acquired Indian citizenship in 2000.
Now, while filling the OCI application, I 'Yes' in "Applicant / parents / grand-parents hold citizenship of Pakistan/Bangladesh at any point of time"
Could someone please chime in if you have come across this case.
Does anyone know what are the chances of OCI approval?

@Nav1108 @AnandSundar : Did you guys receive your booklet in hand ? My status is still "(Passport ready For Collection after OCI stamping)" since 3rd Oct and I am travelling on 14th Oct.

Yes, they told it hasn’t reached BLS yet, I will go and collect after BLS has it. Not sure why they are delaying it.
If in case they dispatch it can I contact Purolator and collect from them to avoid delays, anyone know this ?

Pankaj, i think you reach out to CGI or HCI depending where you are in Canada. they would be right people to provide you the guidance on it.
In my opinion you should be eligible for OCI considering your parents became Indian citizen

How long does it take for the OCI tracker to be updated. I submitted my application 1st October at BLS Vancouver. The BLS status inquiry shows "Processing at Consulate General ". When i try to check the information on the OCI tracker it says " No such record found". How long does it normally take ?
