Applying for an extension without qualifying for one is generally buying people 2-3 months these days based on why I have recently seen. Processing times are faster than what they were before. The other challenge you potentially face is that IRCC may not allow you to claim that extra work experience since it was obtained on an extension that you didn't qualify for. Once the PGWP extension is refused, you would also end up in Canada without status and would need to restore your status to visitor without the ability to work. How are you planning on apply for PR / through which program? If EE, how many points do you have? Have you looked at the PNP programs?so i am screwed? do you know how much time can i buy by applying for pgwp extension? someone told me they applied for pgwp extension on paper and keep working is that true? if i get 7 months i can get my score for pr. thx
You can certainly proceed with asylum claim. However would recommend you make sure you have a genuine and strong claim before you do that.
