How long have you been waiting for conditional approval? I got my approval after 10months.I had applied for Nexus while being PR but my application seems stuck. Meanwhile I got my Canadian citizenship. Am wondering if I can add a new application with just my Canadian passport details - would this lead to faster approval?
Any downside to adding a new application (apart from losing the $50)
It’s an alphanumeric one. If you check the barcode you’ll see it , it’s the same alphanumeric one at the back of the PR card not the UCIHi Guys! I recently got my PR card and wish to apply for Nexus card asap(before the application fee increases ).
While filling out the online application, the max digits I can fill for PR Card number is nine & PR Card number(UCI in Front) is 10 digits starting like "11-XXXX-XXXX".
Which 9 digits should I use?
You will only be able to do the CBSA interview which is by appointment. CBP interview happens at the pre-clearance location when you travel to USA. Remember, once you start the process with CBSA interview, you cannot go to a land border or any other office, you will have to complete the process at the pre-clearance location on your travel to USA.Just got my conditional approval. I applied May 26 , can I get the interview done at the airport if I’m not travelling to the US ?
We got the three cards today, 24 September 2024.Family of three: We interviewed today at the Lansdowne land border. First, we interviewed on the Canadian side. It was pretty straightforward. There was no waiting time. Beyond providing our driver's license and passports and confirming our residential address, the officer asked no questions. In five minutes, we had completed the process. Second, we proceeded to the US side, and on entering the office, we signed in our names. After about 10 minutes, an officer called us into his office. He asked for our passports, took our fingerprints, and took a digital photo, followed by asking four criminality questions, to which we had to answer yes or no. He also asked if we had other passports that we would like to add to our profile. In 15 minutes, we had completed the process, and he handed out a paper explaining the Nexus rules and asked if we had any questions.
Interestingly, before we left his office, all three of us received an email notification of a change in the status of our Nexus application. It was pretty much approved immediately. We now await the Nexus card. Hopefully, we get them soon.
She requires a US visa to get into the US for the US side of the interview. My wife is Canadian PR. She got a conditional approval but her US visa expired. Can she still attend Nexus interview?
