I did travelled and didn’t had any issues at the port of entry. You’re good to travel if your TRV is valid.Did you find an answer to this?
Was your PGWP approved after you re-entered Canada? Did you mention to the officer at the port of entry that you applied for your PGWP outside of Canada? Thanks.I did travelled and didn’t had any issues at the port of entry. You’re good to travel if your TRV is valid.
Yes it did got approved. My port of entry was Montreal. I was asked by the officer if I’m working somewhere. I informed him my PGWP is in implied status. That’s it! No other questions were asked. Was your PGWP approved after you re-entered Canada? Did you mention to the officer at the port of entry that you applied for your PGWP outside of Canada? Thanks.

Thanks for your response, Patron. So you're saying you applied for a PGWP when you were outside of Canada by completing the 'inside of Canada application" option?Yes it did got approved. If you’re applying for PGWP from outside canada and you’re planning to come back, choose the option for PGWP(within canada). I made the mistake for completing (outside canada) application. And later on end up getting that approved and have to withdraw it and pay for another application for PGWP(inside canada). This way my work permit got delivered at my address in canada. If you’ll gonna apply from outside Canada, then the process will be same as study permit (get it stamped first then collect work permit from port of entry).
Hello, I’m in the same situation what you were. I’ve few questions regarding that. I’ll really appreciate if you share your experience.Yes it did got approved. My port of entry was Montreal. why you had to apply again for pgwp from inside canada?
The one you applied for outside canada, couldn’t you able to get the work permit letter from the port of entry to your home address?
And the TRV you had, was that for S-1 category?
And after re-entering were you able to continue working?
Hi,
If applied for PGWP from outside canada then it works same as study permit. You have to collect work permit at the port of entry which I wasn’t able to do as I was in Canada. If you plan to re enter before the decision is made on your PGWP, make sure you apply for PGWP(inside canada) regardless of your location.
Secondly, my TRV was valid S-1 with multiple entry.
Thirdly, I didn’t have work at the time I re-entered. But If you apply for inside Canada PGWP, you’ll get a letter which can be provided to your employer. This letter won’t be provided to you if you apply from outside Canada.
