OK. It means if we need to submit any documents then only we have to sign and submit documents right?
That's what I make of it. Let's see if anyone else thinks differently?

Hello everyone,

Few questions about Parents PR programs. Will be grateful for detailed replies. Appreciate a lot.

1. If applied for one parent as primary applicant while other one not interested to move in to Canada. Any problem if only the primary applicant comes alone in as landed immigrant?

2. The parent comes in Canada, gets the PR and after getting PR card returns back to native country. Will they be able to renew PR card after 5 years if they have only lived for 3 to 4 months in the period of first 5 years after being PR?
1. You can choose to put one a PA and the other parent as non-accompanying or include the other as dependent. Either way the other parent needs to complete medical, police and background check and pass regardless if accompanying or not. The PA can land without the dependent and PA's status will not be affected by the dependent's willingness to move or to visit Canada.

2. PR needs to meet RO at the minimum to retain their PR status. It's staying at least 2 years physically in the first 5 years after landing. (so before the 5 years time is up, PR can be outside maximum of 3 years if pushing) After the first 5 years, RO is 2 years in the rolling 5 years every time when they interact with immigration or CBSA. On top of that, PR will need to meet other residence requirement to be covered by healthcare in his/her residing province. That's different each province.
If PR only lives 3 to 4 months in 5 years, then that person doesn't meet his/her RO and will not be able to renew PR card or get PRTD to travel back to Canada. (Unless they have H&C reason to be unable to travel) Some were able to get around and cross US/Canada land border to return with expired PR cards but there is also a chance of being reported of not meeting RO and will eventually lost their PR status.

Hi All, I've been requested to provide a proof of address. When I open Gckey account, I click on to "View submitted application or upload documents", I can see the request for the "Optional Document" but don't have "Upload" button. How do I submit additional request from GCkey account?

Finally received the Portal 1 email.

Original entry date (YYYY/MM/DD): Should it be their first entry date in canada (for example in year 2014 for my parents) ?????

Date of last time you entered Canada (YYYY/MM/DD): And this one implies their most recent entry date

When did you submit your PCC?

Received email to submit a requirement last june 25, 2024. Submitted the requirement via gckey last july 2024. And gckey shows document uploaded.
now we requested for gcms notes this month since there was no movement since july. And note shows file pending outstanding requirement and officer review outstanding. Does that mean that they didn’t receive the requested document?

Hi all, I hope someone can share some insights into the PR application process for parents and grandparents.

As the principal applicant, my dad has already received his eCOPR and is currently in Canada. However, the accompanying dependents (my mom and brother) are still waiting for their next steps and are currently in India.

Does anyone have experience with this situation? I'm particularly interested in understanding the process for dependents in India, such as the timeline for receiving their COPRs and any specific documents or steps they need to take.
