Hi all, I hope someone can share some insights into the PR application process for parents and grandparents.

As the principal applicant, my dad has already received his eCOPR and is currently in Canada. However, the accompanying dependents (my mom and brother) are still waiting for their next steps and are currently in India.

Does anyone have experience with this situation? I'm particularly interested in understanding the process for dependents in India, such as the timeline for receiving their COPRs and any specific documents or steps they need to take.

Original entry date (YYYY/MM/DD): Should it be their first entry date in canada (for example in year 2014 for my parents) ?????

Date of last time you entered Canada (YYYY/MM/DD): And this one implies their most recent entry date

No nothing yet. I did not call them because I know they are gonna ask me to wait. Have you tried calling them? What did they say?

Still waiting for the P1. I did call them few times, same response - you have to wait.

I received a request from CIC to submit police certificates for my parent from two different countries, with a one-month deadline. However, I was unable to obtain one of the certificates within that timeframe due to longer processing times, so I requested an extension, which was approved.
I have now received the police certificate, but it seems I can no longer upload the document through my IRCC account. Does anyone know how I can update my application and submit the missing document?
Should I contact CIC directly or use the same email address they previously asked me to use when resubmitting the paid fees receipt?

Originally you didn't get an option to send them PCC through email to the same email id through which the request came. We were given that option and instructions were to mention the application number in the subject line. We never uploaded the PCC and have received the PPR. Anyways ours is Vancouver office and 2022 batch in case that matters.

I submitted Nov 2023. Received AOR in June and nothing since then. I’m beginning to get worried. Does your parents have dependents? My mum is here on visit visa too

Hi sorry for delay. No they got no dependent. Should be simple one retired private service holder and wife was homemaker all the time. They have visits here before but staying back home now.

i will recommend sending the second PCC via webform since the upload link in IRCC is no longer active. Many folks here sent their PCC via webform and they were all acknowledged. Good luck!

You can directly email them or use webform. While uploading using webform, attach letter of explanation. The email id should be mentioned in the PCC request form.

I was able to link the app in GCkey account and it shows "We are processing your application." in the status, but I have not received the AOR. Is this something to be concerned about?

Hi guys,

Our PA has received her passport with "IM-1" visa in it, along with the CoPR papers.

Noticed that the previous visitor's visa has not been crossed, stamped or otherwise cancelled or invalidated - is it their normal practice? So to say, PA can then decide, whether to travel as a tourist, or as a PR? Or will they figure it out at POE immigration desk as soon as PA submits the CoPR?
