Hello everyone,

Today, I went to the Service Canada center to provide my biometrics for my PR application. Unfortunately, I noticed that my citizenship on the Biometrics Letter was incorrectly printed as "stateless" instead of India, and I didn't notice it unless the person at Service Canada specifically inquired about it. Despite this mistake, he still took my biometrics and told me that they would make a note to inform IRCC about the error.

I gave my biometrics when I applied for my study permit five years ago, I am confident that I did not provide any incorrect information. It seems that the mistake regarding my citizenship was generated by IRCC. My concern is whether I need to submit a web form to formally inform IRCC about this issue and if it will cause any problems with my application.

I would greatly appreciate any assistance or advice regarding this matter.

Thank you.

Hi I have a similar issue where my country of birth is wrong. Did your application process smoothly?

Thankyou so much for replying. So I can get it corrected at the VFS right? Actually the same mistake exists in my medical request as well, whereas both forms are correct for my dependants.

They didn’t correct for me at VFS. They just took my biometrics and later the person at VFS inquired me about my citizenship and then told me he wrote a note to IRCC about incorrect citizenship.
