Hello!
I would appreciate your help.

I'm in Canada. My tourist visa expires on July 22nd, and my passport also expires on the same day as visa.
But I have another valid passport (travel document) and I applied for visa extension.

Can I stay in Canada after July 22?

Thank you a lot!

Visa doesn't give you a right to stay, just to enter. What exactly did you apply for?
I applied for the extension of my tourist visa - visitor record.
As I understand it, now I have an "implied" status and I can stay in Canada for 180 days from the date of my last entry, because I do not have a stamp in my passport.

If you apply to extend your stay before the expiry of your period of authorized stay, you will have a temporary resident (visitor) status until a decision is rendered.

I see a problem with this. The TRV, entry visa and visitor record are based on the passport you used to apply for the TRV. I doubt using your second passport will allow you additional time in Canada. You would have to have applied for the TRV for that passport and entered Canada on it for you to be able to extend your stay.
Staying in Canada after the passport expires will likely lead to you being in Canada illegally.

In general, I have two applications, one for Visitors Record, which indicates that I have a new passport and the second for a new tourist visa.
In this case, can I stay in Canada?
