Hello Everyone,
Could you please advise if I am eligible for Alberta PNP, I currently have an active express entry profile and my CRS is 457
1) My NOC - 11109
2) My older brother is a resident of Alberta
3) I don't have a job offer and
4) no education from canada
I’ve been in the pool since 12 months now and since, Alberta picks up profiles directly form EE pool I’m wondering if I would be eligible as I have family ties in Alberta or should I create a separate AINP profile to qualify?

Anyone is elgible for AINP-EE through the EE pool. Whether a person is selected will depend on your NOC being selected as well as score and having a family member or job offer or speaking French or working in the province. Most likely it is your NOC not being selected. Not sure about creating an AINP profile as that is for AOS stream (those working in the province), and you are not eligible. So if you selected Alberta in your EE profile then that is all you can do. Maybe look at improving your score like learn French.

Was your EE profile active throughout 2023? or you have just created it? asking to determine if you weren't picked or your EE profile was not there to be picked.

Negative cumulative balance? Not sure what this means
What he means is your NOC 11109 Other Financial Officers is in medium demand as per Alberta’s own forecast ( from page 11). Looks like for occupation in demand and family ties route they are selecting more tech NOCs.

According to AAIP website there are two criteria and one of them have to be met 1) high or moderate demand occupation in the short term employment forecast like you mentioned 2) significant cumulative imbalance from the Alberta's occupational outlook https://open.alberta.ca/dataset/8987e228-9ffa-4a2e-9f79-a9b869df2ccb/resource/8331ba6e-d402-49e9-9f5e-52dfd0906da8/download/jet-albertas-occupational-outlook-2021-2030-revised.pdf

Yep, it’s really difficult to determine why he is hasn’t been selected. Makes me think they are focusing on tech NOCs even for family connection.

Because he doesn't meet any of the two requirements beside family connection. The same case is with me. One needs to have either a high/moderate demand NOC or a positive cumulative imbalance. So far those have received NOI fulfill either of the two criteria, including your brother I checked, you can check it too.

Except my brother’s NOC is also medium demand (NOC 22221) but in tech hence my thinking they are more inclined to invite those in tech.
Unlike health, transportation or agric draws which they publish eligible NOCs, we can only make calculated guess when it comes to family connection and NOC in demand.
What’s your NOC, how long have you been waiting to be selected?

Your brother's NOC is medium demand but has positive cumulative imbalance, need to meet one of them. My NOC is 21311, waiting for IELTS to get in the pool.
