Which pages did you see S.15(1)?
It was on page 2(Application Detail), 3, 4 and 5(Client Detail and Admissibilities) page 5 was almost fully redacted. there was also one in page 15(Notes) but weirdly enough, nothing seem to had been redacted.

Hi @legalfalcon,
First of all thank you for your continuous support and care for immigrants like me who are having a hard time. I got my AOR in Apr/2023, and my program was ready to finalize according to my GCMS notes in Jun/2023, However after the initial background check was completed in Sep/18/2023 my program was put in what I assume to be Comprehensive Security Screening 10 days later since it has been almost 9 months and no updates along the fact that I saw S.15(1) redaction in my notes. I'm not sure what can I do at this step, the program is taking a long time and my professional and personal life has been put on hold. I wanted to ask you if you know about recent cases like mine and how long their processing took. Also, Since it's been more than a year in my program, is there a ground for Mandamus, do you recomend it? and if not, when do you recommend me to apply for it?
Thank you again for your time.
Hi @legalfalcon and fellow members,

My case finally had an update, I had a ghost update on my GC key portal on may 19, and then I received an update on may 31st on my status tracker where my medical was extended another year since it was past expiery date(may 11th). I'm assuming the officer made the extention request on may 19 and it got implemented on the 31.

My question is, does this mean that my case came out of comprehensive SS? Is it even normal for your case officer to ask for a medical extention without the case being released from CSIS or CBSA? I haven't had any updates after that so I wonder if this might have been just because the expiery? What is your opinion?

I recently submitted my PR application. I have 6 years of which I was on a visitors record which on the notes says work visa exempt along with the institution I was working for. I believe it is called a clergy visa. For these 6 years I recieved app. 20000 a year with a t4 plus a stipend (tax free) and free housing. Can I use this as 6 years of work experience?
@legalfalcon can you please help me clarify this question? Thank you very much.

Hello @legalfalcon, i was wondering if you could assist me with my gcms note.

The officer didn't count my work experience. Despite the fact the have provides payment document, documents with duties, working hours, promotions and dates on my work experience.

In addition, they didn't write anything in summary notes.

And didn't mention my 4th and current job

I have reviewed this application based upon the documents submitted by the applicant and the information contained in the file and note the following.

Hello @legalfalcon. My application is in processing for 5 years exactly and showing in "background check" for past 2-3 years.

Every time I send a webform they say they are waiting for my backhround check results.

Can you please tell what are my options here?

Hi @legalfalcon

I am looking to apply for Super Visa for my mother who is a Srilankan but currently living in India. She moved to India in 1984 during the Srilankan Civil War and has been there ever since. She is considered to be a refugee in India however now she has taken the steps to voluntarily return to Srilanka as she wants to spend the remaining years in her home country. While applying for the Super Visa, should we state that she was a Refugee in India from 1984 till 2024? would that affect her application?

Hi @legalfalcon

Please I received a gift deed from my mum on several cash deposits but unfortunately two out of four of the cash deposits were done by my brother (whom my mum just sent to deposit). How can I go about explaining this in my application, given that the bank statement will have a cash deposit with both my brother's name and my mum as well.

Also I am receiving all (100%) money from my mum for my spouse and I, does the gift deed need to mention both our names, and will the several deposits pose a problem?

Just to add, my police certificate from my country has residence as UK instead of United Kingdom in full, does that pose a problem please

Thank you

Hi @legalfalcon,

I applied for PR online through EE on Dec 28th. Upon applying I realized that I forgot to mention a past US visitor visa refusal (approved years after), in fact, I never included it in any of my past IRCC applications (study, work, TRV) and they were all approved. However, I had two Canadian study permit refusals that were included in previous applications and on this PR application as well.

So for these two statutory questions from EE form.

1. Have "You" been refused refugee status, or an immigrant or permanent resident visa (including a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ) or application to the Provincial nominee Program) or visitor or temporary resident visa, to Canada or any other country?

2. Have "You" ever been refused a visa or permit, denied entry or ordered to leave Canada or any other country?

My answers were, "No" and "Yes" (providing details only for Canadian past visa refusals)

I understand I should have also input "Yes" to the first question but I honestly completely forgot to do it because as I said before, my US visitor visa was approved on the second attempt and I have traveled to the USA many times before applying for Canadian visas.

Do you think this mistake will jeopardize my current PR application? Will I be charged with misrepresentation and be deported or banned from Canada?

Appreciate your valuable and expert advice.
Thank you!

Yes, I did send a webform as soon as I noticed the mistake and requested an update on my PR application with the information provided in the webform.

Hi @legalfalcon, been following you for a while and love the support you provide fellow applicants with their journeys.

Query: In my TRV application, I inadvertently missed on declaring a 4 month internship in my employment history. Now, if I declare it in my personal history without claiming points for it (spousal application), will it count for misrepresentation. Reading your posts I think this was not material in both applications but please let me know your thoughts. I’ve been losing a lot of sleep over this. Thanks a bunch in advance!

Hello @legalfalcon
Hope you are doing well, I recently got portal 1 request from IRCC, wondering if I should only mention my details or should I also mention details of my non accompanying spouse too when replying to portal 1? My wife is with me in Canada on SOWP.
Your help would be highly appreciated, thank you
