Parents Super Visa April 2024 Timeline

Hello Everyone,
I am in the process of applying supervisa for my mother. She is currently in Australia visiting my brother and we’ll be applying from there. Has anyone ever applied supervisa from Australia?
My next question is about proof of relationship. I don’t have my birth certificate and will be attaching my passport for that. But the problem is that all my documents mentions my mother’s name differently than it’s on her own passport. Would a statutory declaration work?
Any advice is appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Hi All -

It's been almost a year now since we started applying my parents super visa application. My dad already approved on his super visa application and got his visa stamp last 2 months ago.

My mom's application is kinda unknown, because she got denied 2 times already because of "biometrics not compliant". We don't know what's happening but my moms always complying with her biometrics after getting the Biometrics Instructions letter. In her 3rd application now, it's been 2 weeks already passed after she did a biometrics again in VFS. But in her application Biometrics still not reflecting.

VFS Agent also got confused why she is doing biometrics again, they saw in the system that her that she is doing biometrics for the 3rd time.

Our agency also submit a webform to raise this concern. But no response until now.

Does anyone encountered the same problem? it's really frustrating because we don't really know who is having issue why the biometrics is not reflecting

Hoping someone her encountered and know how to solve this issue.

please let me know if someone has a same situation i am worried about the visa i seen some people got there visa approved within a month and my mum visa took over a month and there is no update in the file dont know what to do in this situation now.

I am in the same situation, applied for my fathers supervisa on 22nd April

BIL 23rd April
Biometric updated 30th April

No updates after that, raise a webform already, upfront medical done June 12th, not updated in profile yet.

Same did medical upfront but doesn't show in profile yet. When did you raise webform?

I just did last week but i am thinking too raise one more time lets see what happened and i am planning to see MP of our area and have him to send email to IRCC may be i will find out what is the reason for behind this.

Hello everyone,

In PPR they mentioned as below :

"Note: For super visa applications, passports must be submitted to a visa application centre outside Canada for insertion of a visitor visa."

So my guess is anywhere outside of Canada. I have seen some posts earlier where person travelled using normal visitor visa and super visa ppr came after being in Canada and they sent passport to Canadian consulate in USA for stamping. Search this forum, you'll get answers.

Here’s the catch: Name is different on application submission letter & passport request letter, rest of the details including Biometric numbers and application, address all info same.

Applicant’s spousal name is part of given name but IRCC put applicant’s father name instead.

What should I do? I sent webform but it will take long & only 30 days timelimit to send passport for visa stamping.

They don’t talk on call for outland visitor visa application.

OR Should I just send for stamping?

Application submitted: 16 April, 2024
Biometric: 16 April, 2024 (Updated from Previous rejected visitor visa 2023)
Medical : Not started (Upfront medical was completed but it has not been updated; UMI was added in application)
Background check: In Progress
* No activity since submission; I have been checking on the portal, tracker and my inbox for any email notifications

Father
Application submitted: 16 April, 2024
Biometric: Letter received on 19 April, 2024; Biometrics completed on 24 April and updated the same day on portal
Medical : Not started (Upfront medical was completed but it has not been updated; UMI was added in application)
* No activity since biometrics update; I cannot access my father's application on the tracker, probably because his application is not under review yet. Is that correct? I have been accessing tracker using my party ID as well as my mother's credentials.

I spoke to an agent this morning who:
- mentioned that file contains notes for both applicants that upfront medical has been completed
- advised to wait until June 2nd( average processing time plus Submission Date) and call back again to request escalation

How much time does it usually take between passport submission and passport collection? I am considering not opting for courier service in order to save time.
