I submitted on 23 May, 2024 in Vancouver and i see the status as "Surrender certificate is under review at Indian Embassy/Consulate."

Give it possibly a week from the date you see this status on the Passport website to receive the SC and cancelled passport in your hand
Now queue up for OCI, the main drama awaitsI received my surrender certificate in 3rd week, but never saw correct tracking status. Very much relived now

23 May 2024: Submitted Surrender application through appointment at Brampton location
04 Jun 2024: Passport seva: Surrender has been printed
Now waiting for BLS status to get updated. We have opted for Pick up.
In my Surrender application for spouse details it asks for the nationality of my spouse. We both became Canadian citizens and my wife has not yet submitted her surrender application. I can go ahead and mention as Canadian right? (Note: she is not applying for a passport right now and hence will have only the Citizenship certificate for now)
For surrender certificate application, should I be writing my wife's name as per my Indian passport or hers? On my passport, its her maiden name and on her's, its her post marriage name (which is also going to be on Canadian Passport)
Hi everyone, I did the process of surrendering Indian passport at BLS Edmonton on May 13, I still didn't receive it.
The status at bls processing at consulate general.
But I can not track on passport seva website it say invalid tracking number.
Entered Application reference number can not be tracked.
I am travelling to India on June 29 please let me know what I have to do know.

Login into the passport seva site and track from inside it. The outside tracker does not work.
Surrender and India travel is not dependent. You can travel to India on evisa which does not require surrender certificate.
You wont be able to get OCI before 29th June for sure as your SC is still in process.
Yes, as long as she has taken oath and have canadian citizenship certificate.

Meanwhile, should I book the OCI appointment as looks like availability is after one month. So if I wait for the surrender certificate, then it'll take another month to get the appointment. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hey did you get your surrender certificate?Fingers crossed! I did fill in that BLS form although it says you need to input a ticket number to view any response. However, I didn't receive any ticket number so I guess I will just have to wait it out and hope I get an update on BLS side like you did. Please do provide an update when you receive it it'll be good to know in how many days that can be expected to come through
