Renew visitor visa while waiting for work permit inside Canada.

Hi,
My visitor visa will expire by end of June and I am waiting for work permit as well. How should I renew my visitor visa ? Do I need to renew as long as I am in Canada ?

I am afraid that If I want to leave Canada the CBSA wont allow me to exit as my visa is expired after end of June.
This happened to someone's and they had to stay get the visa renewed and then leave the country.
Does the 6 Months staying period mean even If I entered on the last day of my visa, I can stay for 6 months?
Please help.

No issue leaving. You don’t need a valid TRV to leave Canada.

You can renew your visa but that doesn’t guarantee reentry to Canada. Best chance of TRV approval as a visitor would be once you have reestablished ties to your home country.
