Does anybody know if I'm able to visit Canada during the outland process? will I have trouble at the border?

You'll have no trouble at all.

I am in the same boat: US citizen sponsored by CA citizen. I spent more than a year living in Canada as a visitor to get common law status so my partner could sponsor me. During that time the border agents sometimes gave me a lot of trouble about how much time I spent there, even though we both knew I was following all the rules (about working and six month limits and such).

Now I say I have a PR application in process and they just wave me through.

Do you know when the eligibility and background were completed for the TRV?
For our TRV it shows eligibility completed in the tracker. But no other updates.
For the PR eligibility shows in progress still.

You may have passport request message in your account but maybe you won’t be able to see in tracker. For that you might need to login into portal or gckey account.

From previous experience and after analyzing the google sheet, usually it takes from 1 day to 3 weeks to get PPR at this stage

Can anyone tell me which portals I need to sign into to check the status of my application? I only have a account in Application Status Tracker for the Canadian Spousal Sponsorship. Is there any other? I cannot log-into the Client Application Status/Tool. I did not link the GCKey.

If PA's current address is in Canada, then he/she will be landing virtually. Likely will get P1 request (request to confirm that he/she is inside Canada).

If you get PPR instead, there should be instruction if PA is already in Canada. Follow that instruction.
