Your husband should receive at some point an email from IRCC (usually entitled "Do Not Reply"), attaching a PDF letter document requesting biometrics, and another email at some point (often around the same time as the biometrics instruction letter, but not always) requesting a medical. Through those letters he can see his own UCI number (separate from your own). He can then create and log onto his own CIC account to track his application.
Thank you so much for your reply! Now, I'm wondering we had submitted our 1st application and it has a different application number but status says "closed" now theres a new application number from March 14th ( we didn't include his daughters passports) stating in progress - Application received. Wondering also, can we apply for his TRV through my UCI/AOR or should we wait for his to arrive?

Hello everyone!

Need your advice, Ive been in a relationship with my bf since 2008 and we only get together when I go vacationing in the Phils. almost every year and now I decided to go live with him for 1 year so that I can sponsor him as a common-law partner. My question is should I submit the application after a year while I am still in the Phils. or should I wait till I come back to Canada? All I want to know which takes longer to get an AOR inland or outland sponsorship? Thanks

Are you a citizen or PR of Canada. If you are a citizen, you can submit the application outland and while you are staying in the Phils. It's hard to guess how fast IRCC process application a year from now. Does your partner have TRV to travel before the application is submitted to come to Canada? If not, inland isn't really an option.

Do you know when the eligibility and background were completed for the TRV?
For our TRV it shows eligibility completed in the tracker. But no other updates.
For the PR eligibility shows in progress still.

Does anybody know if I'm able to visit Canada during the outland process? will I have trouble at the border?

I have recently received an email from Canada Consulate requesting "Schedule A: A separate and newly completed Schedule A Background Declaration form (IMM 5669) bearing an original signature". Should I print out this form, and sign it by hand? And also, does anybody know how to upload the form through IRCC secure account. I do find there is a link, saying "View submitted applications or upload documents". However, I find nowhere to upload after clicking in.

Yes you can still visit if you have a valid TRV or ETA. Perhaps mention it to the border official that you are in the middle of a spouse visa application and are just visiting your spouse. It shouldn't affect their decision. They are only concerned that you leave Canada when you're supposed to.
