Have you requested for GCMS notes? I wonder if your LPP are really started. Mine said in progress on the tracker, but the GCMS notes said not started.
I am in the same boat - tracker shows LPP in progress but according to GCMS notes, it hasn't started yet. Waiting for my latest GCMS notes.

I know this might sound silly and desperate but is there anyway that we could engage in some form CLASS SUIT action against this blatant injustice that we are going through ?

I know that citizenship is just a privilege and not a right but a fair treatment and reasonable processing time is sure is. They can't continue to keep us in a hostage like situation indefinitely ! At some point someone should answer for all this arbitrary mess that they have fostered.

I ordered another set of notes about 3 weeks ago, still haven't got them...also next week is when the Vancouver Office should respond to the call center, so I'll see if that actually did anything

I'm a march applicant who stuck in security screening since May 2023. do you think hiring a lawyer can be any help to push for SS?

You can hire a lawyer to go the mandamus route, but that's not cheap and that takes time too
but that usually work 3 years into the process. i know mine is only 15 months in, but I need the passport to travel freely to US for my work. does submitting US work offer help?

It was 3 years when the processing time on IRCC's website was like 18 months...now it's down to 8, I am guessing things would change. But the lawyers would only pick up the case if there's a good chance of winning.

I think your work offer may help expedite the approval, you can try to call IRCC and see what they say.

Same boat as you !!! AOR Feb 2023, Scarborough Office, everything is green LPP and Test just waiting for the Background Check ! Both my MP and IRCC told me that they still waiting on the Security Screening which has started on July 2023 !

I sent an ATIP request to CSIS, still waiting for an answer.

Very depressing and unfair !
What is your detailed timelines? When LPP was done?

AOR - March 2023
Citizenship Test - August 2023
LPP Language, Presence and Prohibitions - April 2024

Security Screening supposedly started since July 2023 as per the IRCC Call Center Agent.

Many are stuck waiting for LPP and some others like myself are just waiting for a Background Check / SS.

The new 8 months process is inflicting a massive injustice upon people who have applied in 2023,2022 and even earlier.

I just called yesterday and today and there's an automatic message saying their computer system is down and wouldn't be able to look at the files. I hope this doesn't mean the processing of files is stalled too. What a joke of an agency

Received response from MP office today.

"I spoke with our IRCC agent, who advised the application status is the same as the previous update. She confirmed that IRCC received urgent webform request. Our agent stressed the August deadline. While there are no guarantees the applications will finalize by your deadline, I hope that this may help and that you'll see progress"

Feels like a prank to me now. There are people who applied in January 2024 and already took their oath. My security and background are clear, don't know what on earth could take that long..

I just got another set of gcms notes, LPP still not started. And for those people who believe the due dates meant anything, they were all in January 2024, so ya they don’t mean anything.

Just saw someone started a thread of shortest citizenship processing time...what in the world
Jesus!!!!!

Btw, I was reading a blog the other day and the author was trying to imply that education and nationality of the citizenship applicant play a huge part in processing delay. Could we perhaps share our education and nationalities here to see if there is something common in our profile that is pulling us back? I will go first: I am a Pakistani national. I already have a PhD but now I am pursuing another PhD from Canada. Appreciate if others could respond.
