Interview request: Feb 27, 2024 rescheduled for March 20, 2024 (Both requests showed on tracker ~ 2 weeks before, email came letter. Initial request was for an in-person interview in Scarborough. I no longer live in the GTA and had updated my address via webform months prior so I asked for virtual interview accommodation. Thankfully I was able to do virtual interview while on vacation in England. They wanted to see how I calculated my physical presence days prior to becoming a PR as I claimed days as a visitor)
LPP: March 20, 2024 (updated March 22, 2024)
Oath: April 10, 2024 (updated March 23,2024)
Paper certificate: April 18, 2024
Applied for Passport: April 19, 2024 (express application with proof of upcoming flight to pick up April 23, 2024)

It's been quite the journey and lesson in patience. This site was sooo helpful for both my PR and citizenship applications. Beyond grateful.

Yeah, I applied on Jan 31st 2023 (family application of 3 - paper based - Ottawa office), but I am still waiting for LPP. I ordered GCMS notes many times, asked the MP, called IRCC, raised webform, but the application did not move an inch. Pretty disappointing!

Nothing really.. no matter what we do, it won't speed up the process.. they will take as long as they wish.. it's sad but true..

I think just because you got an interview, now you are by IRCC's definition non-routine. However, I still believe it's arbitrary and they just use it whenever and however they want to cover up any kind of delays

Yes, additionally I don't think we did ourselves any favors when we asked to reschedule the first date of the interview. We had to wait 4 months for a new date for a 5-min interview which, according to GCMS notes, was satisfactory to the officer. Anyways, back to waiting and best of luck to all who are on the same boat.

After waiting 6 months from interview date, we just got LPP completed today, after a ghost update yesterday (Apr 26). The update is dated Apr 25, 2024. I hope this brings some hope to all who continue to wait.

Honestly other than waiting, there's really not a whole lot that anyone can do...

So they updated the processing time online to 8 months and even dared to put a note telling people Don't apply again...
Like freaken do your jobs right, so people won't reapply. Plain and simple!
