Since then no further updates were. I applied for a visitors visa for my wife, she did her biometrics on March 21, but was the application was denied for some reason. Anything I can do?

I am going to try and ask for update on MIL as have not received either but background and elgibility are in progress. I suppose that as I am already in canada its not as urgent for MIL as there is no hard landing anymore for me.

I am in the process to completing an outland application for my wife.
I am going to India in January. She'll be coming with me to Canada as she got her visitor's visa.
So I am afraid if we get the request for biometrics and medicals, does she have to give them in India or can she do it here in Canada?

Hi guys,
My file was reopened in September 2023(due to a fault in the previous processing). IRCC said that even though my file was reopened it would still be considered as a new file and all processes would start again. Medical were completed and uploaded end of September 2023. After that there was radio silence for a couple of months.
Ordered GCMS in January 2024 which said Eligibility, Criminality and Security not yet started. Also the notes mention file was awaiting transfer to Delhi VO. When we contacted IRCC in the months of March/April, they mentioned that since my file was being processed in New Delhi, they couldn’t give me much information. Fast forward to today, when I called IRCC the agent said that my file is now being processed at Sydney and there has been no new update but according to the agent it is in process and there is nothing I can do at this point other than wait. Has anyone come across a situation like this? This entire process has me worried and anxious.
Also I had completed biometrics for a visitor record last year which was used for the Spousal application too (tracker shows biometrics completed). But agent mentioned the rules has changed and now we have to do a separate biometrics for the PR application, but I haven’t received any request for it.
