Hi,

We are relocating to Ontario from USA around three years after receiving our PR.

At the time of soft landing we had signed & stamped BSF-186A forms for our inventory. Our inventory is still the same pretty much.

One of the moving company has agreed to drive us into Ontario along with us. Do we need to prepare any other forms for landing permanently with our house hold inventory this time or worry about duty/tax etc?

Please share your recent experience of permanent landing especially for moving with furniture and other house hold items.

Have you calculated your residency requirement days for Canada yet? Are you in breach or not?

As an aside, on the day that you enter Canada will 1095 days (or more) have passed since you landed as a PR?

Probably your previous BSF0186A (stamped etc) are no longer valid, simply by time, and aside from that now you're saying that all of your goods are coming with you. I don't think it should be a problem but you should basically re-do the forms.

Well, that's not enough then..you are short by 70 days and risk to be reported and your PR being revoked
I think you misunderstood - OP said it will be around 1022 days since they became PR - that is, less than 1095 days OUTSIDE Canada, meaning the OP is still compliant with the residency obligation.

Yeah, but he needs to be inside Canada for 1095 days within 5 years, right?

It turns out that I am not able to find my old BSF186 forms :(

Any idea if officer will have access to my forms online? I am going to prepare my new BSF-186A forms anyway.
