OCI process

I submitted OCI applications for me and my son today in Mississauga BLS office. Its true that the OCI fees has been increased since yesterday (April 1). It is increased from $345 to $376 CAD. They were requesting OCI applicants to get a new draft from Bank for $376. There is also a money mart in the same building and requesting applicants to take a new draft from there.

Also a note for Minor OCI applicants, the NOC documents requires photo of same 2x2 specification like OCI. Earlier they used to accept photos of any spec for NOC, but not anymore.

Vancouver applications doesn't seem to be moving forward at all.
My date of acknowledgement is 25 January 2024 - still showing under process.
I am flying 28th April 2024 to India. Shall I go ahead and apply for visa?

My date of ack is 25 Jan 2024 as well and is still under process.

I think we might see some update this week or next based on the below timeline:

Vancouver.
First Attempt: Dec 20th and rejected by BLS

Date of Acknowledgment: 20th Jan 2024
Printed and received at Vancouver: 1st April 2024

yes thats the tracking website. when OCI reaches BLS and they've generated an airway bill no. say XXXXXXXXXXXXX, it appears as below, right above the NOTE that you've shared. At this stage they don't officially show the most recent status that they've sent the OCI. those statuses shown are normally out of date. for example my OCI status shows Passport ready For Dispatch after OCI stamping. but i have my OCI for almost 3 weeks now

Hi guys, I have a problem with BLS Brampton. I had my application returned last week, and I resent my application form with the corrected information. But I forgot to send the new checklist. I called BLS today, and they told me to wait for an update. Will my application be sent back again? Is there anything that can be done before they steal another $62?

mine showed up in 1-2 days. so for 2nd, you should expect something tom or Thu. good luck.

its only implemented from Apr 1
they reduced SC fee but increased the OCI fee

Nope. I sent the old draft of $345 because the only correction they mentioned was the application. Is there a problem? Also, will they nitpick the checklist at all? (I can honestly send it over mail or even take a day off to go in-person if that means they won't return my application)

Yes and FYI, Application was submitted on Mar 28. Acknowledgement of the airway bill updated on April 2nd.
