Is that your first application or second application?
Can you see my private msg.Emrose, they didn’t ask me any documents,
NoHi folks. Can a prra be applied for before being asked ?
I'll help with a few questions and hopefully other can answer the rest:Hello everyone. New here. Finally put in my h&c application. Been 8months since restoration was refused. Absolutely need to be here in Canada given the personal circumstances. The same circumstances which delayed applying earlier. You'll have been on this forum long enough and know all the jargon with this process. I really appreciate your inputs. My questions are typically how long does CBSA take to send any orders to leave ? And if they do, how does one ask for PRRA ? The situation is dire with limited resources. I believe a PRRA is justified in my case but how does one go about advocating or requesting consideration for the PRRA application eligibility to be granted ? They say one can apply only after a cbsa officer says so. Is there a formal process where they assess and decide to let one to apply for it ? I read here that some people have got stage 1 approval within a few months.. are applications triaged in some way ? Does aor give some protection from any cbsa orders ? A lot of questions in my mind and thank you all in advance.
Thanks a a lot, Scylla. If i may ask another question, is a trp a better option at this time ? I know i could get a owp if it gets approved. Have financial responsibilities hard to fulfil at this moment without working rights. Would it be approved faster than an h&c. I could do to the mp and ask them to let ircc know of the pressing need if need be. Thanks again.I'll help with a few questions and hopefully other can answer the rest:
- AOR does not protect you from removal
- CBSA needs to offer you PRRA before you can apply
Without knowing your situation, hard to comment on whether a TRP is a good idea or not. TRPs are always risky and the outcomes are never known. Plus a TRP does not give you PR.Thanks a a lot, Scylla. Also, recent processing times for TRPs seem to be around 2 years, sometimes more. So this isn't a fast path to a work permit.
MPs cannot influence or speed up application processing.
Best to assume it will be quite a while before you have the right to work.
Unfortunately there is nothing you can do to speed up processing.11 months completed since I submitted my application nothing so far ? What is best option to move the file
The officer told me last time, for the security processing , third party is doing it so she has no idea how long it will take.11 months completed since I submitted my application nothing so far ? What is best option to move the file
