I called the ircc today again i asked specifically for security check and the agent told me that it has not started and everything else is completed, would it raise any alarm if i asked about security ? Or is it a normal question that everyone asks ?

haha, ask without worrying. It will not cause any issue. But I'm afraid the agent won't be able to give you a lot more info on it apart from what they already told you.

@iSaidGoodDay Thanks for the reply, seeing others getting pprs motivates me and also worries me haha, how long you think the security check will take as i have no travel history, no Gov jobs and no military history ?

Hello,

in the CEC November 2023 AOR group we are nearly all in the same place: the first update with BIL or medical seems to happen at 3 months mark or even a bit later ( I am AOR November 20 and have not received any update yet either). You cannot access tracker probably because your file is still in the queue and your UCI has not changed to the permanent one that you can use with the tracker). Reach out to your representative first but I would not be surprised if nothing has happened yet. I think you can also still call IRCC.

Finally received the GOLDEN EMAIL
Thanks to the people of this thread who answered my questions and also provided an emotional support through this process! It really made the wait much easier. I spent so much time browsing through this Forum for the past few months that I feel I know you all on a personal level haha

What risk?, the application is sent already and nothing will happen to it. Tracking will just give you an idea about what's going on.

I worked across 4 different countries and lived in those for a very long time. It took IRCC less than a day to process my entire background check. So if they continuously go through all the steps, they can finish it pretty quickly. The delays only happen if you are sent for security screening or there's a pause between sub stages of background check.

Do you mean security screening is not common for all the applications, and is done only for few chosen one’s? The reason I am asking this is because last time when i called the call center to the agent told me “your application is pending for security screening while info sharing and criminality is completed “.
