No impact on an asylum claim although it is very difficult to survive on welfare so it is in your best interest to find employment.

How about the income assistance if Refugee open work permit holder does not have any job in Canada? How much government grant is there and till how long person get income assistance. Pls guide

Are you a government sponsored refugee? If not, look at the social assistance program in your province. You will get an amount for the number of people in your family.

Kindly guide the steps after work permit.

also please guide. If a person is on Refugee open work permit. and his spouse and kids are outside canada. Can that person apply TRV/Visitor or Work permit for his spouse? or do they need to wait for the decision in existing refugee application. Pls guide

Spouse and children can try applying for a TRV but will most likely be refused and will need to wait until their PR is approved to come to Canada.

once you receive positive decision after your hearing, you can apply for a PR. No one know when will the hearing take place, but it may take up to 2 yrs, and another up to 2 years to get PR or even beyond that. Hope that answer your question
