So, I have finally gotten my COPR (Application submitted on June 22nd 2022 / Nova Scotia VO - Ottawa VO - Mexico VO ) , and I am wondering when the days start to count within the five years period.
Do the days start to count when I land in canada ? Also, as a first PR, do I need to comply with the 700 and something days in Canada to keep it ?
Another question, of main importance, if anyone knows how to answer : If I do have to stay in the country for 730 days within the 5 years, when I renovate, can I stay for only one year to apply for citizenship (cumulative in ten years), or is it like 3 years in a row within the five years period ?
That is fundamental because in that case I could be staying for two years, then renovate it, then I have 5 years to stay for the completion of the three years mandatory for citizenship. Well, that is a big doubt I have.
Cumulative period of stay, or sequential.
Also, bonus question : When applying for citizenship after the completion of the three years residency, do you have to stay during processing of the citizenship application?
