Hello, I am applying for a visitor visa as a sibling with my both parents. My brother has PR status and he is sending invitation to us.

1. Shall I apply as a group application through new IRCC portal or separately for myself and parents through GC key?

2. Is there any more chances if we apply as a group?

3. I have already created account in both IRCC portal and GC key. GC key is asking for more documents in comparision to IRCC portal. It seems that I can submit more documents in GC key. So which portal is more suitable for my applications?

1. You only apply with your parents if you are under 22. If you are over 22, then your parents have their own account and you have your own account.

Did you end up submitting as a group?
In my case, they all will be traveling together and i wanted to tell visa officer that my sibling is going to accompany in my parents.

They can’t apply together if you sibling is 22 or older even if they want or travel together.

If you want to apply together, you can do it by:
Make a representation form, and let the applicant sign it for you, and attach it with the application.

Applying in group, doesnt effect the outcome of the application.

* If the child is not in Canada, will they accompany you to Canada? (required)

Who has a child under 22 that is accompanying them. If no child coming with parents, then no.

I am confused. My sibling is coming as well but as I am applying that visa separately as he is above 22 years old, do I still need to say "Yes" to this question?

A 22 year old is not a child. Answer NO.

He went to Canada two weeks ago Soo he has not started working yet but he's processing his work permit

So he got a LMIA and entered Canada with closed work permit. Why did you not apply together? That would have been best.

I wanted him to go first even the immigration at the airport asked same question why he didn't come with his family
But I and my kids has applied but waiting to hear from ircc
