Your story makes no sense. You said he entered Canada two weeks ago but now it is 3 months. He cannot work until his work permit is approved. Assume he had a LMIA for it. It can take 4-5 months. So he cannot start on January 2. Your applications may be refused because he is clearly trying to stay and work in Canada. All you can do is wait.

Ok. But your husband cannot work without a work permit. It takes 4-5 months for response. So he cannot work until approved. All you can do is wait. Given your husband came to Canada, not as a true visitor, but to work then your applications may be refused or delayed in processing.
