Also, we got the entry visa also today. I got the passport back today, and we leave next week. Seems like we may not require the visa eventuually

My ack is Oct 14 - Vancouver office and no update yet. Applied on the 10th of October. :-( but fortunately got my E-visa since I am travelling on Dec 11.

Shows "No records found" in https://ociservices.gov.in/statusEnqury
Even if I go to "Retrieve Forget Details" and give DOB & Passport number, to check the tracking number is correct or not. It still says "No records found". I'm worried CGI didn't even receive the application. Should i call BLS and check ? Please advice.
Travel Planned for Jan 7th to India. Is it possible ? Please advice.

If CGI finds issue have seen them asking for documentation on email.

Expect to show up on OCI web site by next week.
Also, It is little tight. Since, it is Minor, so some people gets faster. i would advise you to wait till 3rd Jan, if nothing comes up, then eVisa is option.
I have same case (Minor), but applied through BLS. Got Ack today at OCI web site. Travel date is 29th Dec
By current processing speed at Toronto about 60 days from application date), a reasonable date to expect it in hand would be Jan 20th. You will get a better picture after Acknowledgement sometime around Dec 20.
Planning travel in Jan end looks safe --- in the worst case you can make an evisa at a short notice.
You could get Ack early next week in which case it looks safe.OCI for Minor:
