After Ack at OCI site it’s taking roughly 22 calendar days. + any holidays.

keep open mind for eVisa. Since you have original with you.
I am stuck with my original passport at CGI since I did postal application.

What abt application submitted on 8-Nov.. still showing processing at consulate..
When can we expect ack??
And when can we expect final oci completed?

If Toronto, expect Ack around Dec 10, and OCI in hand early in January.

Oci received for minor ack date 1st nov. Processed on 23rd received yesterday.
The other Oci which was ack on 2nd nov is out for delivery now. But there is some prblm with delivery so it will prbly get delivered on Monday. The processed date was 25th nov.

Dispatched - 24th Nov
Received at Ottawa - 30th Nov

BLS Status:
Ready for pick up - 30th Nov

Picked up OCI from BLS - 1st Dec

But i was told with Evisa we can stay in India only for 60 days. Is that true ?
Also how long does it take to process. ?
Can i wait till December 25th for OCI ?

I believe, it depends on what kind of eVisa you are applying. If you apply eTourist Visa, you can stay up tp 1 yr

I think it will be in BLS office only on Tuesday --- one day after the "Counter Delivery" update on BLS site. Normally it will get mailed out that same day (i.e., Tuesday). If you want to pickup you will have to tell them by Monday to hold it for collection and then try pickup on Tuesday.

Hey Everyone,

I applied for OCI for my spouse and child together and have received OCI card for my spouse but have not received it for my child.

Does anyone know what could be wrong and have any advice on what I should do to escalate this with BLS?

Status is same for both applicants as follows:

Application date: Sept 28
Acknowledgment date: Oct 17
BLS Status: Passport ready for dispatch after OCI stamping.

CGI website status:
Document printing status: processed Nov 7
Dispatched from MEA: New Delhi Nov 7
Document received at: Toronto Nov 7
OCI number: issued

On my spouse’s BLS status I see a Additional comments section with a Puralotor tracking number for delivery but I don’t see that for my child’s status so it appears that it sitting with BLS or CGI for dispatch.

I called BLS and they said application is with CGI Toronto awaiting dispatch. I am just worried as I have received the OCI card for my spouse but not child.

I think it will be in BLS office only on Tuesday --- one day after the "Counter Delivery" update on BLS site. Normally it will get mailed out that same day (i.e., Tuesday). If you want to pickup you will have to tell them by Monday to hold it for collection and then try pickup on Tuesday.

I think postal should deliver by Thursday next week which should be fine for my travel dates …

As per the status above, both OCIs were delivered to BLS from the consulate. Normally it should have arrived by courier in 2-3 business days (latest by Nov 13th), so obviously something has gone wrong at BLS' end.. You have to contact them to find out why its not getting mailed out.
I think BLS has misplaced it. BLS call centre agents are totally unreliable. Email brampton.p@blsinternational.net
