Congrats! May I ask what does your background say in your GCkey "Not applicable" or "We are processing your background check"?Love seeing progress for some of the fellow comrades.

Eligibility: went from not started to completed 20th NOV
My husband's eligibility is still not started, called IRCC yesterday and they told me most spouses might not even get eligibility check so it wont matter. Now waiting on BGC. I hope it comes sooner than summer

Judging from the recent trend, security of Pakistanis and Arab nationals is taking time, other than that, people are getting PPRs within a month or slightly over that. If you speak to an IRCC agent, hopefully your criminality would also be passed, only security would be pending.

Final decision: November 24, 2023 Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made. It was showing this before I gave biometrics 2 days ago, but not with today's date. Must be the reason for the update. Is anyone else's application showing this? According to many forums I could expect PPR soon but I don't want to get my hopes up.

I think your assessment is accurately fondful. When I check my GCKey, it says everything is in progress except biometric which has a specific date on it; therefore, my understanding is date only appears when an actual progress has been made. Thus, what I believe is that you will soon see COPR information in the tracker.
Somewhere like Ottawa would be great (if landing in summer) or Mississauga also seems fine (closer to downtown toronto). Other places like London or Hamilton also look like good small towns if you want to be away from downtown city life.
What I feel is that the younger crowd in their mid 20s or late 20s wants the busy city life with regular city breaks and . While the older crowd with families wants something that has a balance of city and family time somewhere quiet which Ottawa may provide.
In my account, I see UCI number is CAN..... , but in tracker it shows invalid. Will my UCI number change with time?
