Oct 7th Ack is likely to get processed next week. For Oct 12, expect processed by early next week, hopefully. If so, you should be fine for travel on Dec 11.

I must be looking at a different data than you. What I see is that Vancouver started processing Oct 4th applications around Nov 7th and even on Nov 17th they were still working on Oct 5th Acks. Of course we only have an incomplete view through what is in the tracker or what people have posted here. To me it looks like their backlog is growing at the rate of 3 days per week. We may have a better picture by end of this week.
They are not very consistent, so some lucky folks may get processed much faster than average though.

is there any phone line to contact vancouver?

my ticekts are Dec 1st.. (oct 18 ack).... just missing it i guess.
but if i can call and check maybe some use?!!

Could you please advise what original documents did you send along with the application ?

i had sent the birth certificate and the passport but it seems if you are doing postal application, original documents are not required, but only self attested-photocopies is sufficient.

You are likely to get Ack today or tomorrow in which case OCI could be in hand by Dec 15.
