Hi

I am currently working as a fishmonger in Canada. Is this position eligible for the agri-food pilot program?

What if I work at the sushi restaurant as a fishmonger, am I eligible for the agri-food pilot as well?
I am considering finding another work. Please help me!

Thank you so much.

Past posts are you applying through HCCP, TR to PR, spousal sponsorship, aircraft mechanic, study permit. You can read the Agri food pilot requirements and see if elgible. All clearly laid out on the IRCC site.

Your comment is unnecessary and disrespectful.
It's none of your business what program I applied for and whether I will apply.
If you can't help me and have no idea about it, just ignore it. Don't give me an attitude.

We have freedom of speech in this forum. If you don't like it, you can just go to IRCC website and have your own way or hire consultant to work with you.

Not respectful at all. And there was no attitude - just an observation. Google the program and read the requirements. We are not your consultant, and your question is simple and shows you haven’t even look at requirements.

My comment may be useless too. But looking at the list of industries, I dont' see restaurant being one. And why does sushi restaurant need a fishmonger? They need sushi chefs, servers, dish washer ...etc.

Eligible industries
Industries are classified by the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS). You can see specific industry definitions by searching the industry codes below on the NAICS website.

Your employer needs to include the industry code in your job offer.

Eligible industries under the pilot are:

  • meat product manufacturing (NAICS 3116)
  • greenhouse, nursery and floriculture production, including mushroom production (NAICS 1114)
  • animal production, excluding aquaculture
    • cattle ranching and farming (NAICS 1121)
    • hog and pig farming (NAICS 1122)
    • poultry and egg production (NAICS 1123)
    • sheep and goat farming (NAICS 1124)
    • other animal production (NAICS 1129)

You need to grow a thicker skin.. otherwise you are going to struggle in Canada. Being a fish monger is not really on the list of jobs and skills we need..
