My father is on an employer specific work permit and has been working in Canada as a Butcher since April 2022. I was searching for his ways to apply for permanent residency, his employer is willing to provide all help he can to support his permanent residency application. My father's highest academic qualification is the sub-engineering diploma he has obtained in electrical engineering, but he has lost his certificate, and the institution from where he obtained that diploma has been closed long ago. However, he has his Matriculation, or Pakistan's Secondary school certificate (equivalent to 10th standard or O Levels equivalent education) with him. My question is regarding the Agri-Food Pilot program, where they require either Canadian High School Diploma or an education credential assessment which should show that he has completed secondary school level or above in a foreign country. So as he has his secondary school certificate (10th standard) from Pakistan. Should he apply with that to get ECA, or should he try to get high school diploma/equivalent from somewhere?
