Hi, is anyone here who has applied for citizenship grant in 2020 and still not a citizen?

I applied from Montréal in September 2020. IRCC received my application in October 2020.. only background and citizenship test ate completed.. rest is in progress.

My application is non-routine, because they requested fingerprints from me in November 2022, and I was also invited to attended an interview on Feb 7th 2023... BUT no updates since then.

I requested GCMS notes and received them a week ago, my app status show "ON HOLD".

Anyone in the same boat from 2020? Or am I alone in this boat?

Did your MP not help you ? Also does non routine mean indefinite processing,?

MP told me what the IRCC call center is telling me.

Last time call center told me non routine has no set timelines on when they get finalized.

I don't know about that.. I don't want to go there as I was told it's expensive

You are in a tough waiting game. Hope your LPP completes soon and the hold is removed.

Do you have the email of the officer who interviewed you? Send them an email.
Also keep calling them and mention how long overdue it has become.

So the interviewer hasn't responded to your email?

The interview email came from IRCC, and not really from the interviewer himself. I sent a follow up as a reply to that email but no response back.

The email I received for the interview came from this address: IRCC.CitizenshipConvocation-ConvocationCitoyennete.IRCC@cic.gc.ca

My GCMS notes show that I sent a follow up email too, but no response at all from anyone
