Hello Everyone.

Urgent help please

I have applied for Citizenship for me and my wife.

Booked tickets to attend my brother's Wedding. Our flight is on September 29th 2023

First i thought our citizenship application will not get processed this fast, as we applied in Feb 2023.

Luckily or unluckily we got our oath invitation took our oath on September 8th. Applied for passport on 11th and got passport on 18th .

Had a delay as I need to correct my wife name in ticket as first name is xxx in new Canadian passport.

Was about to apply for E-visa on September 21st. But as soon as I woke up I got this news of visa ban.

Still applied for E-Visa and status is in processing.

We have Canadian passport and Indian passport (did not surrender yet)

I have US Visa on Indian passport but my wife does not.

I don't think I will get my E-visa before September 29th

Let me know if there is any way for me to travel. Can I travel on Indian passport.

Please guide.

I am in similar boat. I have my oath scheduled for October 11 and then I am supposed to travel to India. My earlier plan was to get Canadian passport asap and apply for Indian e-visa. Now I can't get e-visa and I don't have sufficient time for OCI. I am not sure what to do. Please let me know if you figure out the solution.

OCI Application status: (4 Different People) 1 walk-in on Aug 29th at bls brampton and 3 postal on Aug 18 brampton All 4 application had same Date Of Acknowledgment and same timeline.

Hey guys, anyone know if they are still accepting applications for Surrender Certificate and OCI? Or have they suspended these services alongside visas for Indians?

Yes they are. I just did my OCI application submission on 21st Sept

Hello.. Just want to ask that can we change to drop off option for oci booklet? I didn't took that option and with so happening right now.. Will I be able to collect my passport from bls centre?

I have renewed my OCI on September 7th. Right now it’s showing processing at consulate. My question is when will I get my new OCI book ? If I did any mistakes would it show online on the status page or I have to call them ?

Do ask about the processing time as it will give an idea about how much time to wait. There is an applicant waiting since 01-Aug-2023.
Toronto is processing really fast.

Any idea how long before ACK from OCI.

Hi @Divank ,
Please advise if your OCI app shows Status Processed and also a date that is has been dispatched back to Toronto. I have the same date of Acknowledgement as yours and am waiting for updates.

I'm getting my OCI delivered on Monday Sept 25th. Did you get an update?
