I am applying for daughter's citizenship certificate (minor) born outside Canada and the first question is confusing me, I am not sure which option to pick from these two.

I want to pass down my Canadian citizenship to my child born outside Canada and I was born in Canada or naturalized in Canada before my child was born; I didn't adopt my child.
or
I never had a citizenship certificate and I was born outside Canada to a Canadian parent who was born in Canada or naturalized in Canada before I was born: I wasn't adopted by my Canadian parent

I am just confused if I should answer this as the parent (pick 1st option) or as the applicant(child) and select 2nd option .
If anyone has done this please let me know.

First question looks like parent is giving and second one looks like kid is applying.

It does have the option to select both, would it be ok to do that or should I just select the first one as I'm the citizen parent and since my daughter is less than a year old?

The question is about how you received citizenship. If you provide that information, perhaps someone here could help you.

I became naturalized Canadian citizen. Naturalized citizen is mentioned in both the options.
I can pick the first option but next part below that tells you to fill rest of the application as though you are the minor, so that's why I'm confused if it applies to this question.

Maybe share a link with the bit you're struggling with?

The language seems quite clear: "I want to pass down my Canadian citizenship to my child born outside Canada". Obviously this is from perspective of parent-citizen with a child-minor born abroad.

The other answer is for the child (who at this point likely old enough to apply as an adult).

So it seems.
