Question:
1) Are medicals passed? Last week we received a ghost update on GC key regarding medicals being passed but now it disappeared.
2) For my spouse IME expiry date is June 2023 in application portal. But based on IRCC guidelines, new medicals are not required if person is in Canada and completed medicals in last 5 years. Do we need to worry about this expiry date from IRCC application portal
3) GC keys has biometrics updated but not sure why its not reflected in status tracker
4) Finally, did final review start based on above status updates?
TIA
1) From my personal experience, my medicals were marked as complete on the tracker very early - maybe 2 weeks after AOR, and had the same status of your medical results on Gckey. Mine were valid at the time of submission, but expired 3 months after AOR. It was marked "in progress" again on the tracker when my eligibility was completed as they were actually reviewing the medical results (and this seems to be the final check in the application). It was only then, the tracker changed back to complete, and GCKey changed to "You passed the medical exam"
2) If you are Inland, no. My medical results expired 3 months after I got AOR. They did send me for another medical exam, however a couple days after that request, they changed my expiry date to 12 months after they reviewed it.
3) Wouldn't worry about that. If your Biometric details are shown in GCKey, they've got them. It'll be marked complete once they finalize background check (if not earlier - as this is part of the info sharing stage)
4) Not necessarily. Your Eligibility needs to be progress. Once Eligibility is complete then you know you're in final verification / approval stages (that is if all 4 sections are complete)
