We received the in person citizenship interview request at Kitchener office. They just verified the Passports and other id cards (PR, DL, Health Card), nothing much asked.

After your interview, how much time did it take for the LPP to complete?

Mine was a paper application, so yes had sent out the passport copies already.

What's interesting is that my interview is virtual and they said due to COVID-19 protocols we are doing only virtual interviews :D. Another instance of mismanaged random processes.

We had the Citizenship Interview on August 1st and LPP marked as Complete on the same day, but got reflected in the tracker after 2 days on August 3rd.

I think the in-person vs virtual interview is based on the office. Some offices are doing in-person and some are doing virtual. But, from the other posts I saw, in both the cases mostly they are asking to check passports and other IDs.

If you already submitted the scanned copies, not sure why they are asking again. Did you travel in the last few months after you applied for the Citizenship. We travelled in the last few months and I think, they asked me that question of whether we travelled after applying for the citizenship and to where. Travelling after applying should be fully allowed and there should be no restrictions on that, so not sure why they were asking that.

Does anyone know how to reacch an agent on IrCC phone number . I follow all the steps. Then the standard that we are experiencing high volume of calls. And automatically hangs up. Frustrating.

Hallo,
Just wondering about the steps in the application process. I received test invite, test done and tracker updated to complete. Then request for finger print. What I see in our thread is Background verification comes before the test invite. I guess this is just another random processes. How long RCMP takes to send the finger print results to IRCC?

I sent the scanned copies on 9 Aug 2023.
LPP completed: 10 Aug 2023 (Updated on tracker - 12 Aug 2023).
