Hello folks, I'm being sponsored by my husband as an outland applicant. My husband applied on 14th May 2023 and we got an email from IRCC on 31st July 2023 in which they stated your application was returned. When I check into my account, I suspected that my husband made a mistake while starting a new application and he selected me as inland, so I'm just curious, do I have to start the application from scratch or contact the ircc officer so can change from his end, is that something possible? Looking for help. Thank you!

Regards,
Warda!
You would need to submit a new application.

Well to be clear - it should be possible to re-submit the previous application, if the error is corrected (and no other errors - must check everything carefully again.

But apart from being able to re-use the forms, etc., yes, it's start over, including place in any relevant queues.
Yes, agreed. You explained it better.

IRCC won't simply change a flag on their end. OP needs to resubmit with the errors corrected.

The total timeline seems around a year. I believe it's very close.

I submitted my spousal application on March 10. I still didn't receive pre arrival letter. my medical exam passed 1.5 months ago. What do I do? Most people who applied at March beginning already receive pre arrival. Some receive PPR already. Could someone advice?

It's perfectly normal. It's only five months. Some files go more quickly than others.

"Most" have received pre-arrival already? How many do you know to come up with that generalization? And "some" PPR already. In about 120 posts you have not mentioned the PA's country and you can keep that secret but, all I will say is in reading on this forum every day I don't think I have come across even one applicant from any country who applied in March and has received PPR. Please point to any on this forum where that is the case, because it would be a bit surprising.

The posted processing time on the IRCC site for outland spousal applications is 13 months. Until you hit 13 months, you're within the range. What "advice" do you think anyone here can give?

I am returning to edit this post, having seen what @armoured just wrote with an admirable economy of language I failed to display. But, more bluntly, at only 5 months, just chill.
