Applied on May 17… nothing yet
Hoping to hear something in the next few days

seems like the current processing time for those who applied recently based on trends in this thread is about 3 weeks

did you choose 'open work permit' for the type of permit you applied for in the 5710 form? asking because normally you should have received 'WP-EXT for PGWP' instead of 'WP-EXT except PGWP'

Hey buddies,

Just wanted to share my story in case any of you have been through something similar or know someone who has. Here's the timeline:

• My last class was on April 28th
• My study permit expired two days later, on April 30th
• On March 31st, I applied for a Visitor record so I could hang out in Canada while waiting for my transcripts.
• By May 8th, I got my visitor record
• Three days later, on May 11th, I submitted my application for the PGWP

I gather that students who apply for a PGWP before their study permit runs out can work full-time.

Here's my question: Since I applied with a maintained status (visitor), I'm guessing I can't start working until I get my PGWP approved, right?

Also, do you guys know of any other way to reach out to the IRCC besides their web form? I'd like to find out if there's any chance of getting at least a temporary work permit so I can start working soon.

Thanks a bunch!
Any update??
Same situation
Unable to work its been more than a month without work losing job offers.
Please do let me know what you did

Hi . I intend to migrate to Canada via the Federal skilled workers program, and I am currently registering for and writing my IELT exam. Which option is best for me , Academic or general? How possible is it to use Academic results for both study and work purposes?

Applied on March 10th, still waiting, no WP-EXT letter, W3084

I submitted Webform asking for WP-EXT letter but no useful reply...

Should I call them? Any March applicants?
