- possible reasons why I was scheduled for an interview and they needed scans of my passports:
1. I have an extensive travel history during my eligibility period
2. I took the citizenship outside of Canada
- note: Passport and interview request was from Edmonton CIC and my initial office was Vancouver.
Interview date: May 29
- verified my identity, confirmed that I took the test outside but already in Canada during the interview and that I sent all pages of both passports during my eligibility period.

I don’t know why my file was moved to Edmonton but glad there’s movement and updates. Now awaiting Oath schedule.

I feel they will definitely call me to invite me for an in-person interview. I look different in all of my passports, like totally different (other) people. The tricky part is, at work, I cannot use my personal phone (or any devices.) In the application, I also indicated my office/work number. However, I don't think they will bother to try it. I am doomed.
If you get scheduled for an interview, you will get a letter emailed to you with instructions. I don’t think I received a call from them.
Quick question when you got the request for passport. Was it on email only or you did see that request on your portal application history section as well?
My file is in CIC-Surrey... They asked for Passport Scans on May 16 and nothing since then...
Glad your file got moved to Edmonton... It looks like Calgary and Edmonton are faster.... Vancouver is in the middle and then there is Surrey - the slowest in the West
I got the email with the “Notice to Appear” and a pdf file. In the PDF file, time and date of interview is there and it states there if you need to send them anything i.e. passport scans, etc with the email add to sent them to and deadline. The pdf also includes a consent form to use Microsoft Teams that you have to sign and send back to them too.
But on the tracker it only said this:
“You've been scheduled to attend an interview with our official on May 29, 2023. Information and instructions will be sent to you.”
Looks like there is a batch of test invites, including me. Received an email and the tracker was updated June 1st. Test invite between June 5th- 25th.
