When do you know your documents are complete?

I had an update on my PR application that said my medical test passed. Does that mean that my documents are complete? If not, what update shows that my documents are reviewed and are marked as complete?
Thank you :)

When you get MEP (medical passed), you are usually assigned R10 pass. R10 pass means your application is ready to be reviewed and has all docs in place to be reviewed. The documents are not verified at this point. You get an A11 pass iirc for documents that you submit during eAPR: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/permanent-residence/express-entry/assessing-electronic-application-on-section-a11-2.html

All documents are complete is a little blurry line though:
1. Almost all documents are complete - when you receive your RFV/PPR/Portal email.
2. 99.9999% docs are complete - when you get your visa stamped as an outlander
3. All docs are complete - landed and PR status complete (virtual/physical landing)

Most people don't know if their documents are complete unless they either get #1 (RFV/PPR/Portal email) or file a GCMS note to see IRCC's review. Here's an example of a GCMS note from a forum member where document review has been detailed: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/aor-november-2022-join-here.780912/post-10444507

Thank you for your response :) At what point should I expect the BOWP processing to get started?

Unfortunately, I don't have an answer to that. If you are worried about getting an implied status, here's a thread I was reading earlier today: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/bridging-open-work-permit-work-until-date-and-implied-status.755400/post-9907879 You can ask the members if anything has changed for BOWP in 2023 just to be safe :)

our mp has emailed us yesterday:

I spoke to an agent about an hour ago. Good news, all verification steps on this file have passed and we are just waiting for final decision which should come very soon. Once the approval is done, a Ready for Visa letter will be sent out shortly after.

When can we expect to get the emails? im going crazy just waiting

Inlanders don't get "Ready for Visa" emails unless I'm mistaken. You'll get a portal email. It'll come soon :)

Thanks! I had no idea it was hard to do. I guess we were lucky! Tho might be because our application has been processing since june 2021, quite a long time.

thankfully, we are at the end now. Though that end is the most stressful it has ever been, knowing that the next email we get will be an answer that we’ve been waiting for, for 10+ years. (person being sponsered got deported) after all this time he is finally criminally admissible & all verification steps passed. May i add, it was QUICK. About 4 months ago they asked for police certificate, 2 months later asked for criminal rehabilitation letters, a month ago a request for ARC & proof of savings/housing. Then a couple days ago found out about it all being passed (tho dont have an exact date when it passed but it didnt take them longer then 2-3 weeks) I hope that the answer will be fast, mp said it should be very soon. We’re hopeful it all works out.
