Is it normal for the passport not to be stamped and for the COPR papers to have “Not valid for travel” in big grey letters?

Just got an email! “We have informed our London office about your ability to travel before July 25, 2023. Your COPR is now ready for printing in London. You will be sent by e-mail an approval letter concerning the Authorization to Return to Canada shortly.”

They wouldnt have asked otherwise if we could fly by the 25th if they werent sure they would send the passport before then. Just hoping it all works out fast.

Yeah i get that. But we’ve basically done everything and are ready to fly even the next day. We’ve told them we can fly by the 25th so hopefully they respond soon saying they’ll stamp the passport and send it back on friday. i‘d think they would do it quick knowing we need to leave by 25th

GREAT NEWS! They replied just now to ask if we’d be able to travel to canada by july 25th (thats when medicals expire) and our laywer replied right away that we can fly on july 6th. Praying to god they issue copr and send the passport back right away.

Our lawyer always sends us what she sends them, and when they reply she sends it the same day. We’ve known her for 10+ years so our case is very different from yours. It wont take 2 weeks as its an urgent matter, they also only have a 10 day deadline.

We didnt use the webform, our lawyer contacted the vienna office directly (thats where our app is being worked on) and we’re still waiting for a response.

Yeah they did tell us that they were dealing with ukraine when we were still waiting on the passport request, so i guess thats still priority for them. Hopefully within 4 weeks tho, it states 4 weeks in the email we got so idk!

The passport was received by the london office on wednesday and that very same day they sent the passport to vienna office where our application was being done. Today got an email that the passport was receieved at the IRCC office and is under process. this seems extremely fast.
