All applications are pretty much processed the same way. However, for TRV the focus is more on eligibility (will the applicant leave Canada, home ties, financiers etc.) and the security is much faster.

Unless you are from a designated country or have ben involved in crime or human rights violation, there is no need to worry about security. It is the eligibility that is a major concern.
Hi sir, I have a quick question, thank you in advance. The four parts of my tracker are all green and I called IRCC several times, the eligibility was from "in progress" to "passed", but after the tracker are all green, I called IRCC again they told me that my eligibility is "not started", have you ever heard such thing and the if you could explain the reason? It's so weird that the status can change from "pass" to "not started". I do have my spouse as one of the independents, her eligibility in the tracker is "not started", but the agent who answered my phone told me it's my eligibility that "not started". Please kindly help me! Thanks!

Your Son can land with the PR card. Nobody will raise any questions. Many applicants have been following what your son did.
Thanks Manpreet

Hi @legalfalcon i got my cbsa notes. I am nov 10 aor PNP Outland EE applicant.
My eligibility is recommend passed. In the case processing agent note, he mentioned he Verified my work experience but he did not mentioned anything about the documented income provided. I already provided 3 salary slips, 3 year ITR and 12 months salary bank deposits. Do I need to send again through web form?
Also, he has mentioned that Funds met but in additional notes, "officer note, pa did not provided 6 months avg balance". Should i provide it now or wait for adr?

Thanks

You have an obligation to provide complete information. If you belive something was missed, send a webform and file an updated form.
@legalfalcon
Thanks for your reply. I missed this info in my previous SP application more than 10 years ago. I have raised a webform to add this info for my PR and explained why I missed it before. Is there any chance that this is considered as a misrep for my previous SP application

Contact an MP to inquire for you. If you are in Canada, look for your MP from your riding. If you are not in Canada, check the MP of the riding you wish to reside in.

Contacts of all MPs are available at https://www.ourcommons.ca/members/en/search

Send an email to the MP, and their staff will send an inquiry to IRCC and update you when a response is received.
Hello @legalfalcon , I tried to reach the MP of a riding in Canada where I plan to live after obtaining my Permanent Resident status. However, they informed me that their office is only able to assist constituents. I'm unsure of what to do next, should I contact another MP and provide my relative Canadian address? Or is there another way to proceed? Thank you

You have to follow the process as described in Guide 5781, and then send the proof of this to IRCC in your MyCIC account. Until you renounce your PR status, you cannot apply for a new one. Also, you will have to describe why you should be considered viable to settle in Canada, when you last did not.
Hi I need some help in this matter too. I have been asked to submit the form IMM5782. Currently I have an application for PR under the spousal
sponsorship program. I have finished Biometrics and health checkup. I have now received this request to submit the form IMM5782.

I had a PR earlier in 2006 and did not remain in Canada for the mandatory 2 years to get my PR renewed. However, I visit my family every year and sometimes twice a year. I paid taxes. Recently I retired and applied for PR under Spousal Sponsorship with my wife being the sponsor who is a Canadian citizen.

My question is by submitting this form IMM5782, does it negatively impact my current application. Appreciate your advice and would love to know what happened with Mr. Silvana's case which appears to be similar.

@legalfalcon

I have already asked this questions in another thread but still posting it here as well for better visibility:

1. I am in talk of getting ICT with my current employer (in India) with branch in Burnaby, BC. Can I apply for BCPNP after getting job offer which I am going to use to support my ICT application?

2. After getting ICT and moving to Canada can I apply for BC PNP using same job offer I used for ICT?

Hi @legalfalcon, need your help to understand at which stage is my application and when the RFV email should pop-up.

I got all notes in hand - CBSA, GCMS and CSIS, so can share my findings. I honestly think that my application has passed all stages, including Security and now it's pending RFV email for unknown bureaucratic reasons.

1) COPRs were issued: On 8-Feb-23 I noticed on the new tracker that all stages were marked as green for both me and wife (besides her Eligibility, but she was a dependant added post-AOR) and COPRs popped up - both their numbers and expiry dates. From GCMS notes issued on 14-Mar-23 (latest document I have) I can see that the last note on 4-Feb-23 says "Final decision: Satisfied applicant meets the requirement of A11.2. Met selection EE passed. ADMISSIBILITY **FINAL DECISION** Satisfied applicant meets IRPA requirements. Application approved. Client is overseas, please send RFV to client."

Also I can see in FINALIZE APPLICATION, DOCUMENT ISSUANCE section the same COPRs as on the tracker. And I also see print queue PQ-COPR-6023-14.

2) Security was passed: CSIS note was a 1-pager saying for both PA and dependant "A record search based on the requested information provided by you was completed and we were unable to locate any record regarding MY NAME". This phrase had a code above with 2022 in it, so I assume that the Security record check was done in 2022. When I check the GCMS notes I can see Security redacted and "s.21" mark in the upper right corner. When I check CBSA notes I also see no status next to Security, but I see that record search was done by the immigration officer on the same day when COPRs were issued and there are no SubActivities to Security. I assume that his remark about "IRPA met" means that he only did non-comprehensive Security and it was fully passed. Status on application in all notes is "Final: Approved"

The problem is that we are already waiting 2.5 months since these COPRs were technically issued, but we didn't receive RFV. I wrote multiple webforms to VO, but they had no effect - they just responded me couple of time with something like "it's still processing". The thing is that these COPRs expire, so now their validity is <4 months, by the time they'll actually be issued they might be valid <1-2 months, which is ridiculous.

Do you consider from these notes that we're still missing some processing stages? What could be the reason for us not to get RFV in almost 3 months? Can Print Queue nr. for COPR suggest us the month when its queue is supposed to be reached (like could "6-023" in PQ-COPR-6023-14 mean June 2023?)

Your copr issued as per GCMS but no update in your GC key account ? Have you checked with IRCC agents on call, I mean talked with their representatives? What they are telling you about your updates?

@The Wall the phone support is unreachable - never managed to connect to a human support since Jul-22. There are no updates in GC Key account, no GUs. Answers received from webforms are a variation of these 2 standard responses received every time

"We acknowledge receipt of the documents and wish to inform you that they have been added to the file. Please note, for technical reasons, they may not be visible in your online account. Rest assured that your supporting documents are indeed added and available for officer review. Additionally, we verified the information you provided. Kindly note, you will be informed as soon as a decision is reached or if additional information is needed."

and

"We have forwarded it and the information you provided to the responsible office for their consideration. If further information is needed during the processing of your application, the responsible office may contact you. We verified the information you provided and can confirm that your permanent residence application is still in process. At this time, all required documents and information have been received by the responsible office."

Have you mailed them regarding GCMS notes and then they replied you these? It can happen with anyone. Asking because my AOR is July 2022. Then after biometric and Medical updated till I think December 2022. But then no updates. Everything is showing "under progress". Looks like it's just got stuck somewhere. I haven't raised the GCMS notes yet. But looking at your case I should.

@The Wall yes, I attach GCMS notes to webforms every time. The CBSA notes show that officer who has approved the case and asked for RFV to be sent has also assigned the file to ”EE - Approved“ location in Montreal VO and gave them due date of 3-Mar-23 to (I guess) do the next step, which (I guess) is sending RFV email. Since notes were issued on 14-Mar-23 I can see that no one followed on this and also from no updates in my online accounts I can tell that they didn’t do it up till now.

I found this description of the RFV procedure from IRCC itself. I can see that first 4 points out of 6 were done, but then 5th point is missing. And then the question is - who exactly is there to be blamed? Primary VO or secondary VO?

As per the procedure "The overseas migration office should run GCMS reports or queries weekly either to identify new inter-office verification requests that have been created and assigned or to search for completed inter-office verification activities for applications assigned to their office." sounds like secondary VO is to be blamed for not checking that they need to issue RFV. But then in the CBSA notes on the 1st page the due date under "Application assignment" was given to primary VO.

So it's hard to tell precisely who didn't do their job.
