Guys, I have a qq:-

My daughter is US citizen and is going to apply for CA citizenship. I just wanted to check if CA citizenship application on her existing US citizenship? Any consideration or scenario I should keep in mind while applying for CA citizenship that can adversely impact her US citizenship?

Applying for Canadian citizenship has absolutely no impact on US citizenship. There are tons of Americans who have successfully obtained Canadian citizenship and are now DUAL citizens! I know a couple of these, myself.

My wife is a US citizen, and at some point in the future (after I’ve obtained Canadian citizenship, myself) she plans on applying for Canadian citizenship as well. My research indicates that it would not affect her US citizenship in any way shape or form!

Are you a Canadian citizen? On what basis is your daughter applying for Canadian citizenship? As the captain rightly said, acquiring Canadian citizenship has no impact on US citizenship, and vice versa. I have both and I also got my US born child Canadian citizenship by descent.

If she was born after your naturalization, shouldn't she be a citizen already?

Must have been born before OP's naturalization, because otherwise would not have been eligible for PR status.

Yes, we were all PR initially. Later, i took citizenship. Filing for kids now
