Hi everyone,

My parents has landed in Canada as a sponsored immigrants via PGPP. They have landed on October 10th, 2022. They have not received their PR cards yet, it has been 131 days since they landed. Processing time for first time PR cards shows ‘41 days’. We have raised 2 web forms asking for updates and both are ignored by CIC. There’s a huge hassle without their PR cards as without them they don’t let them get another ID in B.C.

Has anyone faced the same situation? What should we do?

Here is what you can try -

1. Link pr card using steps here - https://askkubeir.com/pr-card-application/
2. Call IRCC at 1 (888) 242-2100 . When you call IRCC, It will ask you for the UCI , press two i.e. no UCI available and then as soon as the Message for AF and UK refugees start playing press 330 in quick succession you will be able to reach them. The real deal is - dont wait to hear out the refugee messages

Thank you for the response, No luck linking the PR card application, tried every possible combination. PR process shows completed and approved and last update is when they landed as PR. I will try calling and see if I can talk with someone.

same thing with me. My Parents landed in July 2022. Father received the PR card in September but for mother, they asked for new photographs, which I sent in October 2022. Since then no update and no PR card. Submitted few webform requests, no response. Submitted ATIP request, still no answer.
No way to check the status on any tracker, nothing works. :(

Did you order GCMS notes anytime during the process ? If yes, check how the place of birth appears there and follow the same while linking the PR card application

Does Talking to MP works? I have trouble linking mine too. Sent multiple webforms and IRCC customer service is just useless.

Were you able to talk to IRCC customer service ? just ask them the PR card application number (starts with R). You can then link it to GCKey using option of "Link using Application Number"

Glady yes. Just now called them. Surprisingly, got hold of them in 15 mins. So my card was shipped 4 days go and will receive it soon. But wife's wasn't shipped due to lack of address, which was confusing as I am the primary applicant and was under the impression that hers would be the same as mine. So updated the address for her and it will shipped in a week.

Oh yes ! we need to ask for addition/change in address for all applicants even if the EE application was same.

okay, I would suggest you to call IRCC and get the pr card application number. Link the application to gckey using that number
So I called CIC. Apparently, cards are ready to be Mailed from November 22, 2022, but they needed to confirm the Canadian address. That is so weird. At the airport, they were told they would receive the card at the address they had on COPR. So, since I provided the same address as their landing document, they will inform the concerned department to mail the cards out, so we should be receiving them soon. This is outrageous. Had I not called them, I'd never find this out.

I feel like I should complain somewhere, once we receive the PR cards.

Yes I know this is unacceptable. I hope everyone who is waiting for PR card calls once and confirm if the address is there on PR card application. Glad that your issue is resolved now
